Dr Amith Vikram Megaravalli is a faculty member in the Finance area at FLAME University, India. Previously, he was associated with Liverpool John Moores, Qatar. He was also the Research lead at the Centre of Economic Development at Liverpool John Moores, Qatar. He has completed “Value Creation” certification from Michigan Ross School of Business, Executive Education, and “The Language and Tools of Financial Analysis” from the University of Melbourne. He is also a member of the British Accounting & Finance Association (UK) and a member of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India.

He has worked as an Accountant for Swiss Re for various European clients. During his tenure at Swiss Re, he was awarded the “Best Employee” for his client-centric approach. He has also worked as a corporate trainer for the ICICI Manipal Academy, training bank managers on financial products and services. Most of his career has been spent in higher education and research. His teaching and research experience extends to Italy, India, and Qatar institutions. Consequently, he has experience teaching higher education institutions at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in varying cultural contexts, including thesis/dissertation supervision. He has published several research papers in International Journals such as Economics Letters, Applied Economics Letters, Journal of Family Business Management, Qualitative Research in Financial Markets, Cogent Economics & Finance, etc. He has also published teaching cases in Emerald Emerging Market case studies.

He is an ad-hoc reviewer for Journal of Business Research, Finance Research Letters, European Management Journal, and Cogent Economics and Finance. He has also won several research grants, including a PhD Fellowship from the University of Naples Federico II, a Visiting Professor grant from the University of Reggio Calabria, and a Royalty grant from Emerald Emerging Market case studies. He has worked as a management consultant for Shri Sagar CTR, a restaurant in India, in planning their business expansion, and the same has been published in Emerald Emerging Market Case as a teaching case in Management Accounting. He has completed a research project on “Sales Planning” using the demand funnel technique for ICICI Bank for the Bangalore South region. He has also worked as “Delegate of International affairs” for the University of Naples and played a significant role in launching two new programs and expanding International Partnership across Asia.
